“WHISPERS IN THE CEMETERY: THE STONES TELL ALL:
Presenter: Karen Marcus

Gravestones are often a rich resource for genealogy research and carry messages portraying a person’s life or what someone wanted others to remember. Those messages were expressed through epitaphs, symbols and art reflecting religious affiliation, occupation, social status, and other aspects about the deceased. This presentation will share some of the history and symbols and how these can be used to solve some genealogical mysteries often encountered.
